All members arrived safely on Friday. Nicki and I headed out to the Dart arm after lunch and got a few small fish on fenders and worms. The method was lead lining with two and a half colours.
Tim Wilson fished the river and pondage for small trout. He also gave us the news that the pondage had been filled and the fishing had gone quiet.
Wayne and Stuart fished the lake for small brown trout also on the Friday.
On the Saturday the pleasant weather continued. Tony, Wayne, Stuart, Niki and John trolled the lake whilst Bernard and Tim fished the river and pondage. At the weigh in Tony Dorner had four brown trout for 1.265 kg cleaned. Wayne Harris had 4 brown trout for 1.510kg cleaned. Tim Wilson had one brown Trout for 0.425 kg cleaned.
On the Sunday Tony weighed in another brown trout for 0.410 kg Wayne had a good day out with 1.305 kg while Tim had a brown trout at 275g.
On the measured fish competition Stuart Taylor had 3 brown trout that went 34cm, 34cm and 41 cm respectively. Niki Duckstein had a brown trout of 36 cm and a rainbow trout of 33cm. John Costa had a brown trout of 37cm.
For the dart cup the Ian Clifford memorial trophy team’s event was taken out by Team Extreme Ram Rod that had two of Ian’s sons competing in it, a fitting tribute to the 20th anniversary of the event.
Team Extreme Ram Rod total weight was 8.50 kg for their 10 fish. A total of 1254 fish were taken in the dart cup made up of 1181 brown trout and 73 rainbow trout.
