Surf Estuary

There were 12 members and 2 visitors that attended the surf/est. competition over the Melbourne cup weekend.  Unfortunatly the conditions were appalling with a lot of wind and rain. There was some relief on Monday when weather condions were a lot calmer.  That being said some members were able to fish the Albert River and inlet with some good size flathead being caught.  The squid seemed quite plentifull with a good number and size weighed also.  The last day Tuesday, was very wet with heavy rain.  The weigh in was conducted at 1.00 pm as agreed and the competition concluded.

Saltwater

There were 4 members fishing the competition for Melbourne Cup weekend.  Unfortunatly there was only 1 day of competition as one member had to retire for personal reasons and only left 3 in the competition not the minimum 4 members fishing as per the rules .
