Fishing Reports

Thirteen members fished the Native Fish Association's annual catch and release competition at Yarrawonga. Fishing was hard work and results were less than desirable with only five fish being taken over the legal length. Of these their were three yellowbelly measuring 440, 430 and 410mm and two silver perch of 380 and 375mm length. A much larger yellowbelly was lost at the side of the boat. The best cod landed was 530mm. The best yellowbelly taken by Les Penrose was beaten by 10mm for the best of the competition and similarly the best silver perch was 10mm longer than Daniel Traffords. It was a pity as there were some nice prizes to be won. Congratulations to Daniel Trafford for winning the Preston Northcote competition.
