Fishing Reports

Barkers Creek Reservoir Fly Attack (private trip)

18th July 2015
by Pedro Arvy

I fly fished Barkers Creek Reservoir on Sunday with Andrew Harris and four other blokes. I love this place, you can always find fish moving. However they are hard to catch. This one came to Andrew on a Bruce Smith bag fly after much casting and hoping. There were some other smaller fish caught on black/purple leeches. The fish moved on top every so often then disappeared before their next rise 10-15 minutes later. This went on for hours. I must try some static midges down deep next time along with a leech.

I advertised this trip on Meetup with just a few days notice and eight people attended.
