The working bee was a great success and most members where at club HQ ready for some work before 9:00am.
Side gates: Joe Perri and Peter Patterson where working hard installing the frame work for the side gates. Joe had done an excellent job in preparing the frame work and Joe had done some impeccable welding. The frame work needed to be bolted to the concrete wall in preparation for the gates. Well done Joe and Peter.
Rear section of roof: David Fleming and Leo Dicori removed the old fibre glass sheets and replaced with them with new steel, 3 sections were replaced. The roof was cleaned and a repair in one section. Hopefully this will secure from the water leaks. Dave and Leo did an excellent job as well.
Gardening: Dennis Dowling and John Taylor tidied up the front garden beds, pruned the shrubs and picked up the rubbish blown in from the street. Bob Janes grass area alongside the fence was also clean. Thanks to Dennis and John.
Inside Club rooms: John Deveson and Bernie Harris clean the inside and installed the new ceiling panels to remove the skylight sections. Graeme Jonson and Tony Coon arrive about midday and worked to complete other tasks. Well done Graeme and Tony.
At noon we were all treated to a barbeque cooked by Bernie Harris and a couple of refreshments to help digest the food.
A few spots of rain started about 1:00pm but didn't last long.
We could have had some extra support early but we managed as the members present were committed to the task. Well done to all - our task was completed.
On our next working bee we will complete the gates and hinge them onto the frames. Joe will need some help to install these.
