F/W Dartmouth Area November 3rd-6th 2018
Eleven members entered the Dartmouth competition staying in various locations.
On the Saturday members fished in conditions that were probably too good to fish. The fishing was hard and slow but most members caught fish.
Richard Higlett had three fish for the day with his best fish a brown that weigh 705 grams cleaned.
Tony Dorner also had three fish. His best fish was a Rainbow of 525 grams.
Bernie Harris had three brown trout that weigh 1.485kg.
Gavin Barry caught two fish with his best a brown that was the biggest for the competition that weigh 1.00kg cleaned.
On the Sunday conditions were a little windier, making the fishing a little more interesting.
Notable bags were taken by Len Brown four browns for 2.540kg, Len’s best fish for the day was a brown of 880 grams. Richard Higlett caught two browns and two rainbows for 2.175kg. Richards best fish of the day was a brown of 790 grams.
Bernie Harris had four brown trout for 2.425kg, his best fish a brown of 735grams.
Mick Coats also got in on the action with four brown trout for 2.075kg.
On the Monday the rain threatened and some showers developed.
John Costa had a good day out with four brown trout that weigh 1.980kg.
Whilst not really turning it on Dartmouth still gave up some of its bounty for those who persisted.
Best baits were mudeye and local gudgeon, whilst the trollers persisted with worms trailing ford fenders.
