The members fished Lake Nillacootie, Lake Bullen Merri, the Goulburn River from Yea to Alexandra and Yarra River in Templestoe.
Barbeque at weigh in was arranged by John Deveson and cooked by Tony Dorner.
At the weigh in 2 fish were presented. Graham Miller 1 Brown Trout 0.365kg caught on lure in the Goulburn River at Yea and Tony Valier D’Abate landed an excellent Murray Cod at 2.585 kg caught in the Yarra River Templestowe Area. Tony caught his Cod using shaved ham and only fished for approximately 40mins.
The Murray Cod measured 57cm and in excellent condition as Tony often fishers this area and does well. All fished were gilled and guttered for weigh in.
So this proves you don’t have to travel far for good results in fishing.
