The Herb Jesson Shield was held at Newlyn Reservoir and Hepburns Lagoon on in fine conditions. The angling was poor with only 1 rainbow trout weighed from a field of 30 anglers.
Preston Northcote had no luck at all with our team of 5 members not getting a bite.
The VRFish Chairman Russel Conway representing Greensborough was the successful angler with a fish weighing 1.1kg. Russell won the heaviest fish, the best bag and won the Jesson shield for Team Greensborough.
An enjoyable BBQ and drinks followed the competition. MAA president Don Ellis was thanked for his organisation.
