Friday was a washout with rain on and off all day.
However Saturday after the morning frost turned into a sunny warm day. We woke up to see kangaroos on our side of the fence line cutting the grass for Ross.
The Ride-on Mower had a flat tyre (tubeless) and as we could not replace the tyres a new tube had to do. It took 5 members to break the tyre seal with brains beating brawn, well done.
A good hard days work followed with all jobs planned completed. David way turned carpenter, Phil and son Jaxson were our drainers then joined Drago to fix the fence after he had laundered our bed covers. All members did multi jobs on the list. When Leo arrived we put him on the roof to clean the spouting.
Members looked at our list and completed all jobs listed. They all deserved the dinner by Chef David Way with his bain marie, roast pork, potatoes, beans, peas, pumpkin etc all served on nice warm plates. Ice cream and mango followed. All complimented with white tablecloth, nice salt and pepper shakers, and candles. What a super presentation by our cook! Thank you David for a magic dinner.
With all work done and rain predicted for Sunday we cleaned up and left for home before the snow bunnies were on the road. We always thank our members who attend our working bees however David, Ross, Drago, Phillip Brandi and son, Rob, Leo and grandson had me lost for words to describe just how lucky we are to have members who give their time for their club.
