Fishing Reports

12 member attended and most arrived Thursday during the day and night.  The weather was perfect with sunny days around 28 - 29 degs all weekend.

Friday:

1/2 members fished Edward River or the Wakool River.  The carp were prolific this year, plenty of yabbies in the systems resulting with 3-4 yabbies contained in shrimp traps when retrieved.  8 fish were weighed in on Friday night, 7 Yellow Belly at 9.27kg and 1 Cod at 2.565, everyone complained about the number of carp caught.

Saturday:

Was a little slower for fishing as only 3 fish were weighed in, 2 Yellow belly at 2.325 and 1 Cod at 2.485kg.  Saturday night around the Camp fire was good entertainment with the music turned up and listening to songs and enjoying everyone’s company.

Sunday:

Once again members fished both rivers and 5 Yellow Belly were weighed in on Sunday with a weight of 8.465kg.

Monday:

Only selected members fished as some packed up early to travel home and at the final weigh on Monday 2 Yellow Belly at 2.455kg .

Results of competition: 

16 Yellow Belly at 22.532kg and 2 Cod at 5.050. Total weight 27.585kg .

John Costa 6 Yellow Belly (Wakool) and Heaviest Yellow Belly at 2.570kg and lengths of 40, 43, 44, 45, 49, 55cm. Well done John and fist time at this competition.
