Four members fished at Newlyn Reservoir on the Saturday afternoon competition. Hepburn was not fishable because of low water and weed. Newlyn was not much better. The weather conditions were excellent with warm and overcast conditions spoilt by some massive thunderstorms in the late afternoon.
Late in the day plenty of trout were on the move jumping and tailing. There were some pretty big fish feeding but they were not interested in mudeyes or other baits. However the day enjoyable including the BBQ but not a lot of angling action.
