With inclement weather pending the 14 members that were going to fish Port Albert turned into 9. All members arrived safely.
Saturday was the pick of the days, so with very little wind John C & Julian headed to Cliffy Island and adjoining islands to fish for the Kingfish. A few hours of drifting, trolling and berleying like mad the boys decided that the Kingfish were not cooperating and headed to a flathead drift to pick up a feed.
After two drifts both John and Julian had their self imposed bag and headed to the Manns reef area to fish for Gummy shark.
John caught 10 flathead between 40 cm and 55 cm with his best fish weighing 1.2 kg. Julian caught eight Flathead between 40 cm and 50 cm.
Dennis, Tony, Frank, Peter, all fished inside Port Albert for a reasonable result. Tony caught a Pinkie Snapper of 650 grams, whilst Peter caught a Flathead of 750 grams. Frank caught 5 Flathead for a total weight of 1.20 kg.
On the Monday all the boys fished inside with Joe Psaila taking the best bag for the day. Joe caught 7 Flathead for the day.
Best bags for the weekend included JohnC 10 fish for 5.5 kg, Julian C 8 fish for 3.6kg, Joe P 7 fish for 3.15 kg and Frank C for 2.95 kg.
