Fishing Reports

Preston Northcote Angling Club (PNAC) had a St Kilda Snapper competition on Sunday 19/11/17.  As the designated start time was agreed to be 3.30am and a weigh-in time of 1pm the 8 competitors were in for a long day.   

The weather conditions were perfect for a snapper comp on Port Phillip Bay.   All anglers were on their spot before daybreak and expectations were high.   There were a huge number of boats scattered all along the shipping channel with various groups around specific transit lane markers.   

At the weigh-in 5 anglers weighed in 6 snapper for a total weight of 17.32kg.  Tony Nicolosi landed the heaviest fish @ 4.3kg, just nudging out Niki Dukstein’s fish of 4.25kg.  Alf Breci was next with 2 fish totalling 4.21kg. 

A good day was had by all and St Kilda was abuzz @ 1pm with lots of boats and people enjoying a perfect Melbourne day.
