The Brunswick Angler's Club Lodge at Cowes on Phillip Island combined with easy access to the water at Rhyll makes for a comfortable home base. The fishing this year was extremely tough. Members fished Rhyll, Sandy Point, Corinella, McAffies and San Remo for moderate returns. Due to the conditions and needing to vacate the Brunswick lodge at 10.00am members fished the Saturday only.
Best bags for the day were Rod King with seven Whiting for 1.55 kg and John Costa with 2 Snook and 3 Whiting for 4.55 kg. Best baits were squid tentacles, pippies, mussels and live baits. Many thanks to Steve Gusman for organizing the BBQ and meat for a great Saturday night roast and a meat lovers breakfast on Sunday morning. A good time had by all.
