Fishing Reports

Preston Northcote had 4 teams of 4 plus 1 junior Kacey Brandi, plus 2 non- members fishing the Native Fish Catch and Release Competition with NFA Vic.

Plenty of small fish registered and released and only 7 legal size eligible for the competition by PNAC. John Costa nearly won the competition with 3 species, a 75cm Murray Cod, 45cm Golden Perch and a 34cm Silver Perch on his own. However we ended up in 2nd place for the competition and John Costa took out the heaviest Murry Cod and the best individual angler, great effort by John Costa.

The Camp Site at The Commons on the Murray, downstream from the wall was very big with all 8 boats, tents, and swags, lean-to and a Jayco Camper van. Socially, not a lot of sleep and plenty of fun with members really enjoying the weekend.

The Native Fish Team won the event “just” and the BBQ at the Caravan Park closed the competition for another year. Trip Captain PNAC – Les Penrose
